Harun Ibrahim’s story doesn’t fit into any neat box. Born in Israel to Arab-Muslim parents, raised and educated in a Jewish school, and eventually married to a Christian woman, he spent years standing at the crossroads of three faiths. Islam was his heritage, Judaism shaped his schooling, and Christianity lived in his home. And yet, none of them felt settled in his heart.
For a long time, Harun tried to figure out which path held the truth. He questioned everything—God, religion, identity, purpose. He was searching, but not finding.
Then one ordinary day changed everything.
As Harun walked down the street, a stranger stopped him and said a single sentence that cut deep:
“You will not enter the Kingdom of God unless you come through Jesus.”
He was furious. Who was this man? How dare he say that? But anger didn’t make the words go away. In fact, they burrowed in. He couldn’t shake them.
That moment pushed Harun to do something he had never done before: open a Bible. He started with the Gospel of John… then read it again. And again. By the time he finished it seven times, something had happened.
“I just fell in love with the person of Jesus,” he said.
What began as curiosity became conviction. Harun surrendered his life to Christ, and everything shifted—his identity, his purpose, his mission. The confusion that once defined his life gave way to clarity: he wanted Muslims to meet the Jesus he encountered.
Harun spent years as a missionary before eventually launching Al Hayat Ministries, an outreach focused on speaking to Muslims in the language of their own culture, questions, and worldview. That strategy changed everything.
Today, Al Hayat Ministries has helped lead over 100,000 Muslims to Christ and reached millions more through television and digital broadcasts. In 2023 alone, their programs received 109 million responses—many coming from countries where choosing Christ can cost someone their family, their livelihood, or even their life.
Harun’s explanation for the impact is blunt:
“There is hunger in the Muslim world to hear about Christ.”
He believes a major wave of revival is on the horizon. And his message to Christians isn’t complicated or dramatic. It’s simple:
Pray for Muslims.
“Once you start praying,” Harun says, “God will guide you in what to do next.”
